Amelia Niccolini née Kowker, originally from Frackville, Pennsylvania, describes the Lithuanian and Polish community in Frackville and Lithuanian foods and traditions. In 1944, she moved to Hershey to work for Hershey Chocolate. Along with other single women working in the factory during World War II, she was housed in a Hershey Industrial School unit. Niccolini describes living in Kinderhaus and the housemothers. She recalls working on the production lines for the Tropical Bar and Rally Bar. Her Italian husband, Guido, held various jobs in the area, including managing the Italian Club.
