    Clements started working in the Hershey Chocolate molding room in 1942.  He was bumped to hot chocolate, and then bid for and got job in maintenance.  Clements also discusses his service in World War II. He discusses pay rates and typical jobs for men and women and changes in the 1950s and 1960s.  He is a member of but not active in the union. Also discussed are the strike (1953); working conditions; relationship with co-workers; hiring practices; job training. Clements worked in lower end of factory, with responsibility for maintaining cocoa, bean and nut processing areas.
