    Simione recounts memories and experiences growing up in Hershey.  Worked a variety of jobs as a teenager (caddying, chocolate factory, busboy) until he was drafted in 1945.  Numerous stories about his tenure as bell captain at Hotel Hershey: Vichy French internment, well-known politicians and celebrities, other employees, M.S. Hershey.  Returned to chocolate factory in 1948, was made supervisor in 1971, retired in 1989.  Recounts experiences during 1937 and 1953 strikes.  Describes plant procedures, products, automation, bosses and co-workers, changes in 1960s and 1970s, attitudes toward Italians, minority hiring.  Feelings toward Hershey community.
