Castelli began working in the factory upon graduation from high school, retiring in February 1988. She describes departments in which she worked and changes during her tenure. Castelli also discusses safety concerns, different jobs and pay rates for men and women, friction between bosses and workers, and some anti-Italian sentiment. She recalls divisiveness over strikes (she continued to work during the 1953 strike). Castelli became an office worker in 1973. Also disccused are affirmative action and leisure activities.
