    DeAngelis recounts her family's arrival in Spring Creek.  Early memories include 1918 flu epidemic, neighbors (some hostile, others friendly), growing up in large Italian family, quitting school to go to work, feeling of 'not belonging' due to reactions of local residents.  Recalls occasional outings to Hershey Park on Sundays, attending church services in Hershey Department Store, beginning of St. Joan's role of church.  Relates traditional Italian holiday celebrations, wine-making.  Family ran Pronio's Store for three years.  Family later bought apartment house with restaurant.
