    In his second interview Smith discusses need of a Chocolate Company system to store and convey bulk sugar and cocoa beans, construciton and capacity of silos.  "Trades program" devised to deal with plant electricians, machinists, etc.  Formalized projects system, adapted new conveyances and machinery to old construciton.  Productivity program.  Inefficiency of Hershey's milk-condensing process.  Discusses how Hershey made different coating formulas for different candy companies.  Smith had project responsibility for plant in Canada; also discusses California plant.  Experiences with European equipment manufacturers, touring plants, etc.  Given title, "Director of Technical Services Development," promotion of vice-president of Technical Services.  Evolution of quality control.
